Lise Gonthier, glassblower

After studying at the Beaux-Arts, Lise Gonthier expresses her talent through glasswork. In her studio near Toulouse, Lise Gonthier develops different techniques in order to create melts, gradations, flat areas, smooth or rough textures similar to paintings. In this way, Lise gives a new visual expression to blown glass, optical effects make the different depths of the works merge. 

The viewer is invited to enter a space defined by the painting, discovering the volume inside in a flat surface. It is a visual experience giving way to the light poetry of abstraction.
