La Secret Gallery
An ART and DESIGN gallery, with three thematic exhibitions per year. A new and original approach, guided by the background and culture of the founders, Nathalie Elmaleh and Laurent Teboul. They are both set designers and artistic directors, and have always given a special place to theatrical staging, particularly in the events and museum exhibitions they have produced for prestigious houses in France and abroad.
"Transmitting emotion" is their motto. This is how the Secret Gallery's exhibitions are staged in their smallest details, even the music, the light or the olfactory notes are thought out. The works and design pieces are presented as in a house, an artist's studio or a collector's loft. The artists and media mix, confront each other and offer a grandiose mix.
Each exhibition is a curtain raiser! But above all, it is an invitation to dream, to stroll and to compose your own collection.
The Secret Gallery offers a new concept, the artists cross paths and offer us an intimate dialogue during each exhibition. Artworks by artists from the second half of the 20th century are echoed by those of contemporary artists. Art responds to art in a timeless discussion.
The contemporary artists represented by the SECRET GALLERY, whether permanent or guest artists, mostly propose pieces created for each exhibition, but sometimes they select on their existing artworks when these are relevant to the theme. Each artist presented is chosen without restrictions, only the emotion, the sensitivity of their work, and their personality prevail to guide the choices of the gallery owners, Nathalie Elmaleh and Laurent Teboul.
The exhibition is audacious, it is composed of photographs, paintings, drawings, engravings or serigraphs, but also of sculptures, in unique pieces or small limited series. A mix of artists and media forming a singular panorama, a kaleidoscope that transmits an intense emotion.
Throughout the exhibitions, you can discover the work of the architect and designer Reda Amalou through his design collections, objects and furniture which always are at the crossroads of art and know-how.
For each theme, Nathalie Elmaleh and Laurent Teboul select from the main collection or from the limited edition furniture of Reda Amalou's Gallery Collection, the design pieces that will bring to the exhibition all its meaning and will echo the artworks. Sometimes they place specific orders with the designer, or complete the scenography with vintage design pieces.
The SECRET GALLERY offers tailor-made or customised solutions for certain design pieces.
